Your Goal · Strength
Get
Stronger.
Strength isn't a talent you're born with — it's a skill you build. With a proven method, a full free-weight floor, and coaching led by our Head Coach himself, your numbers are about to go up. Measurably.
Why Strength
Strong changes
everything.
Strength is the mother quality. Carrying your groceries up the stairs, playing with your kids, protecting your joints and bones as you age, standing taller in every room you enter — it all runs on strength. Build it, and every other physical goal gets easier: fat loss, muscle, sport, everyday life.
And here's the part most gyms won't tell you: getting stronger is not complicated. It's a handful of fundamental lifts, done with good technique, made slightly harder over time. The hard part is doing it consistently and correctly — and that's exactly what we're here for.

The Grand Fitness Strength Method
Four phases.
Zero guesswork.
Every member follows the same proven path — only the starting point and the speed are yours. Here's exactly what happens after you walk in:
Weeks 1–2
Assess & Learn
Before you touch a heavy barbell, we look at how you move. Your coach runs you through a movement screening, finds your mobility restrictions and weak links, and then teaches you the fundamental patterns — squat, hinge, press, pull — starting with an empty bar. By the end of week two you'll have clean technique and honest baseline numbers for every main lift. That baseline is your starting line: from here, everything is measured.
Weeks 3–8
Build the Foundation
Now the real fun starts: linear progression. Three full-body sessions per week, built around the big compound lifts — and almost every session, a little more weight goes on the bar. It sounds simple because it is: as a beginner or returning lifter, your body adapts fast, and we ride that wave for as long as it lasts. Your coach watches every set, keeps your technique honest under increasing load, and logs every number.
Month 3+
Progress Like an Athlete
When adding weight every session stops working, guesswork usually starts — but not here. Your program shifts to structured periodization: heavy days and volume days, rep ranges from 3 to 8, targeted accessory work for your individual weak points, and planned deload weeks so your body can absorb the work. This is exactly how competitive lifters train — scaled to your level and your life.
Every 8–12 Weeks
Test, Celebrate, Repeat
PR day. You test your main lifts under your coach's eyes, compare the numbers to your baseline, and watch the proof pile up: you are measurably, undeniably stronger than the person who walked in a few months ago. Then we set new targets and go again. Strength has no finish line — that's the best part.
The Science Behind It
Six principles.
No secrets.
There is no magic program and no shortcut — just training principles that have built every strong person you've ever seen. We simply apply them properly, and we never skip one.
Inside a Session
One hour.
Fully used.
No wandering between machines wondering what to do next. A strength session at Grand Fitness has a structure — and every minute earns its place:
Your Arsenal
Everything strength
training needs.

Gurgen
Head Coach
“Strength is the most honest thing in this gym. The bar doesn't care about excuses — it only moves when you've earned it. My job is to make sure you earn it faster than you thought possible.”
Strength & conditioning is Gurgen's home turf: over a decade of coaching, 500+ clients from first-time squatters to champions, and the standards this entire gym was built on. When you train for strength at Grand Fitness, you're training in his system — and if you want him in your corner personally, 1-on-1 sessions with the Head Coach are available.

Questions & Answers
Before you
ask.
I've never touched a barbell. Can I really start here?
Yes — beginners are our favorite lifters, because progress comes fastest in the first months. You'll start with an empty bar and a coach by your side, and you'll be amazed how quickly 'I could never squat' turns into a loaded barbell.
How fast will I actually get stronger?
Most beginners add weight to the bar almost every session for the first two to three months — it's the famous 'newbie gains' window and we make the most of it. After that, progress becomes steadier but never stops: our members set new PRs years into training.
I'm a woman — won't lifting make me bulky?
No — that's the most persistent myth in fitness. Strength training makes you strong, athletic and resilient; getting 'bulky' requires years of deliberate, specialized effort. Many of our strongest members are women, and Coach Salome runs dedicated women's sessions if you'd rather start there.
Am I too old to start strength training?
The opposite: strength training is one of the best things you can do as you age. Muscle and bone density respond to training at every age — we simply adjust the starting point and progression speed. Our oldest members are living proof.
How often do I need to train?
Three sessions per week is the sweet spot for strength — enough stimulus to progress, enough recovery to grow. Each session takes about an hour. If you can only manage two, we'll build a program around that; consistency beats perfection.
Do I need a personal trainer, or can I train alone?
Both work here. Your first visit includes a coach who sets up your program, and our floor coaches keep an eye on technique even when you train solo. If you want the fastest possible progress, 1-on-1 sessions with Gurgen or the team are available anytime.
