Group Class · Functional Fitness
Cross
Fit.
Constantly varied functional movements at high intensity: barbells, bodyweight, engine work — combined into daily workouts that build the most complete fitness there is. Our coaches' sessions are hard. That's the point. And every single one scales to you.
What This Class Is
Fitness with
a scoreboard.
This class trains the ten dimensions of fitness at once: strength, endurance, stamina, power, speed, flexibility, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. The method is constant variation — every day a different workout (the WOD) combining barbell lifts, bodyweight gymnastics and engine work into a session with a defined score: a time to beat, rounds to complete, a load to move. Fitness stops being vague and becomes measurable.
The magic ingredient is intensity — YOUR intensity. Every workout has a competitive-level version and a first-day version, and both people finish sweating on the same floor, cheering each other's last reps. That shared suffering builds the famous community: nowhere in the gym are names learned faster, and nowhere is the last person to finish celebrated harder. Hard, honest, together — that's the formula.

The Team
Grand Fitness Coaching Team
“The workout should scare you a little. That's how you know it's working.”
Every class is led by an experienced Grand Fitness coach: careful programming, precise scaling for every athlete in the room, and an eye that misses nothing. The sessions are relentlessly challenging and somehow always fun — even when your lungs are on fire.
Questions & Answers
Before your
first class.
Isn't this kind of training dangerous?
Bad coaching is dangerous — in any sport. Here, technique is taught before intensity is added, every workout is scaled to your current level, and our coaches watch every rep. Train like that and functional training is not just safe: the strength and movement quality it builds actively protect you everywhere else.
Do I need to be fit before joining?
We recommend a little training base — a few weeks of general gym work or our Group Exercise class — mostly so your first WODs are fun instead of purely humbling. But 'fit'? No. Scaling means a beginner and an athlete do the same workout at completely different loads and finish equally destroyed and equally happy.
What does 'scaled' actually mean?
Every movement has easier versions: pull-ups become ring rows, barbell weights drop, distances shorten. The workout's structure and intensity stay; the difficulty adapts to you. You'll hear 'scale it' from our coaches as a command, not a concession — ego-lifting is the only thing not welcome.
What's a WOD and why does everyone track scores?
Workout Of the Day — the scored centerpiece of every class. Times, rounds and loads go on the board, and benchmark workouts repeat every few months so you can measure exactly how much fitter you've become. Progress you can prove beats progress you can feel.
Will I learn Olympic lifting?
You'll learn the derivatives and progressions — cleans, presses, and the technique foundations — coached properly and loaded sensibly. Full snatch-and-jerk mastery is a longer journey our coaches happily guide ambitious members through in the skill blocks.
How often should I train this?
Two to three classes a week, with rest or an easy class between them — the intensity is real and recovery is part of the program. Many members pair it with Boxing for variety or dedicated mobility work; all of it is included in your membership.
